越南牛肉粉 Pho Bo

享受完昨晚的海鲜大餐,重了至少X磅後,今晚乖乖地食清清地的越南牛河,节制一下!

Pho Bo is one of my family's common favorite, so that is easy...

When I went to Ho Chi Minh last year, ate many times of this beef noodle there in hope of tasting the authentic Pho in its native land. Personally, I find the local ones very oily and not as tasty (had it in various hotels and restaurants); guess I was just too opinionated... or personal preference prevailed.

I find the most important is the cinnamon smell and LOTS of basils

  8. The basil that you used, is that the American kind or Vietnamese basil? They do taste a bit different.

I dont know, only that it is very fragrant, should be the real Vietnamese type. I have a basil plant at home, but no smell
