什菜煎餅 Fried vegetable fritters


After days of Western food, it is time to go Chinese, yes, this is a new dish! I strongly encourage families whose kids don't like vegetables to try this, and yes, I know, it is FRIED.... Isn't it just delicious???? heeee.... just chop up tons of vege and mix with eggs, flour and water; add your own seasoning and pan fry till crisp.... VOILA!

You may call it Sophie's Choice ! Haaaaaaaa

羊排 Lamb Chops

囡囡最中意的燒羊排,有時懶就煎, 最好是用火炭 + Weber燒烤才夠香啊!

Don't know why, lamb chops is my daughter's favorite meat... hmm... personally I don't fancy it that much until my kids took a liking to it. I will blame it on Uncle Albert of Pasadena, it can ONLY be HIS roast lamb ...

今個星期大多數吃西餐,最開心就是囝囝。。。今晚要出到Fettucine 意大利寬條麵,用炆牛柳來配,不錯!

It is getting more and more difficult to think of dinner item for the little brood at home... guess soon it will be east meets west, sea meets land... haaa

這是什麼? What is the name of these sea creature?


Can anyone tell me the name of this shellfish? In Singapore, we call it Gong Gong, but that is definitely Malay changed into English. And please don't tell me it is called clams, THAT I will not accept, heee... This clam is one of the BEST tasting and best texture shellfish that I have eaten, and my whole family loves it. When Iris came and visited us two months ago, we had it twice as appetizer. Yummmy!

炸薯條魚柳 Fish n Chips

輪到炸薯條同魚柳,改下口味都不錯,好過被人講:“又係吃飯耶!”配上粉好吃的湯,是我的牧師太太教我煮的,叫Eurasian Stew,用不同的菇類放在雞湯內,超讚!
Fish N Chips, what lovely french fries! I don't normally indulge in such delicious calories laden stuff, but once in awhile .... heee. The best part is actually this Eurasian Stew that my pastor's wife taught me. It is a chicken soup base heavy laden with different types of mushrooms, carrots and potatoes. Really yummilicious and my kids just slurp it up real fast!

Christy,生日快樂! Happy Birthday to Christy



Today is my friend Christy's birthday; and I got a tip from her beautiful daughter that she LOVES strawberries... That's great, strawberry cream cake it is then. Immediately went to buy a punnet of fresh strawberries to prepare my birthday gift.
Trying to remember how long I have known Christy and hmmm I actually can only remember her kids, that just shows what age does to my memory. Nevertheless, I am just glad that God has sent her family to our church and hope that she has grown in the Lord there. Really appreciate her friendship and laughters!

講日文的三文魚 Salmon Don


I wonder if hubby actually likes the furikake-yasai flakes or the salmon itself? He kept on insisting that Japanese Salmon Rice is much nicer than the Western way of cooking... hmmmm... The amount of those topping he put on the salmon makes me wonder again and again. Heeeeee... guess as long as he likes the whole assemble, I shouldn't complain.

本來游水的三文魚 Salmon Dinner


Haven't had nice salmon steak for a long time, and it is Nicky's favorite fish. This morning in the market, saw some really fresh and nice salmon; so it became our dinner tonight. I used mixed herb to season it a bit then pan fried with butter. Nick specially requested his to have a cheese topping, so there it is. I think Nick really did it justice as he finished 2 and a half portion of salmon, incredible!

新嘗試的醜陋igloo The UGLY Igloo

This is a black forest dome, yes, it really looks ugly outside; REALLY truthfully.... The only saving grace is that it tasted ok inside, with whipped cream and cherries etc.... or else... dustbin here it goes.
The reason why I made it was that I have seen so many blogger friends in HK making this lovely REAL dome shaped chocolate cake, really lovely, so i wanted to try. The sad part is that the mold is unavailable here so I improvised with a soup bowl; but have no fear, I have two Na Na Angels who are going to hunt for it and one will fly it here for me, YEAH! Stay tuned for the REAL dome to appear, YEAH!

換一下口味吧 Food glorious food

After so many days of my Taiwan trip, even I am getting very bored. And good news is that it is almost ending, but ALMOST only. To take a breather, let you see how patriotic I am with my annual July 4th party. Though I was in Taiwan on the day, I had a small scale post Independence Day Dinner with my favorite so called my American dishes. Nope, I said MY version of it, so I skipped the normal hot dogs, buffalo wings and apple pies; instead I had Nachos, pasta w meatballs, n bratwursts. Heee, can't say it is typical, but it is the thoughts that count, haaaaaaa.........
