Blessed 2014 w Ombre Red Velvet cake - Step by step


Happy New Year
Blessed 2014
ready?
adjust color 
grind beet and juice it
every layer is one cake 
cupcakes are good 
frosting is the challenge 
adjust color
cool the cakes thoroughly 
base coat 
these are the final colors 
need height 
use a pink base will be fine 
four rows 
remember must be cool 
starting w base 
melts too quickly , need to chill after every row
pink ones are much easier 
and firmer 
cupcakes are much easier 
sweet, right?
moist cake 
taste wise, pass
 
 
 
The romantic Ombre Red Velvet cake --- this is a failed version because the beet juice diluted the frosting too much .  The flowers melt almost immediately.  For future trial, I suggest you boil the juice down to get rid of the liquid as much as possible.

  4. Happy New Year! I tried to make this on New Year's Eve but didn't have time for the frosting. The cake itself was really tasty. I have to find a chance to try the complete cake again.
