速成生日蛋糕 ~~Happy Birthday Melanie~~




昨曰四時半女兒Britney突然來電說要我整個生曰蛋糕給同學,明早就要伶返學,嘩﹗我今晚十時才回家呀﹗
難得囡囡看得起﹐咁多辛苦多急,都要做好好靚靚比佢!

Called home and find out there is almost NOTHING at home, not even the basic cream...oh dear. Never mind, think think and think, surely there is a way.

Oh dear! The only thing I have at home is - CHOCOLATE.... Get the chocolate sponge cake going first... by the time I get home from prayer meeting at 10pm, it should be cooled and ready to be sliced. Thanks to my buddy Cindy who bought the cream n took it to church for me; otherwise this mousse cake will never come to pass. How can I disappoint my princess !!!

Voila, Chocolate Mousse Cake, everybody ! 唔知好唔好味?

Woke up at 6.30am to unmould and decorate the cake n sent Britney to school at 7am... phew, what an exciting life this mommy has !

    What to do? Britney gave me the greatest compliment; "Mommy, ever since you start to make cakes, I can't even eat the STUFF from outside, maybe except Raffles Hotel or Ritz's desserts"

    If you know my daughter, you will know it is almost the highest compliment ever given... she IS a connoiseur on FOOD...
