Mommy Dearest 厨房 - 韓式牛仔骨 galbijjim

唔知是否因为我用cast iron pot 去煮哩?

1kg Pork spare ribs or 

1kg Beef shortribs 


Sauce:

3 cloves of minced garlic 

1/2 cup soy sauce 

2 tbsp sugar 

1/2 cup mirin (sweet wine or Chinese wine add sugar)

1 tsp black pepper 

1tsp garlic powder 

2 tsp sesame oil (add at the end) 

5 potatoes , cut in big chunks

2 carrot , cut in big chunks 


Method 


  1. Parboil the ribs n drain dry 
  2. Use a thick bottom pot , add in the sauce and boil
  3. Add in all the ribs n stir
  4. Sauté for a few minutes till all combined in high heat 
  5. Add one cup of water till just cover the meat 
  6. Cook for half hour in medium low fire n check for softness of meat 
  7. If almost done , add in potatoes n carrots n cooked till soft 
  8. If meat becomes too soft , dish out the meat n let the veg cook to desired softness 
  9. Add in sesame oil before serving
